Personality:
Aramil is an individual attuned to nature, and will always feel more at home in a natural setting than in towns. He is slowly becoming a more spiritual person as he continues on his journey. He will try to help others where he can, and views himself as a defender of the weak. Still, he will always be suspicious of humans, and their often wreckless attitude towards other races. These feeling of anomininity towards his own race is usually quite and unassuming.
Aramil thinks with his heart first, brain second (sometimes never), and is more concern with what is right, than with what is smart. This can make him seem rash or impulsive, charging into a situation without fully realising what the consequences of foolishness it will bring. Aramil disreguards critisism of this, because he will always know in his heart what he is fighting for, what he needs to fight against, and that he must always fight the good fight. In doing this, he believes that he will never regret for not taking action, or delaying action.
When faced with conflict, Aramil can be quick to anger. Though he will rarely strike out at a friend for having a difference of opinion, he will vocally voice his thoughts. When enemies oppose him (you guessed it) his sword often does the talking. One could easily (and rightfully) say that Aramil has too big of a heart. A big, caring, angry heart that bruises easily.
Appearance:
Aramil has a stretched, and sometimes tired appearance of a warrior who has fought too many fruitless battles. In his middle age, his hair begun to grey at the sides, though he still keeps in just above shoulder length. He has allowed some stuble to accumulate on his chin, which helps to cover a few scars on his face. His brown eyes can be as hard as stone when faced with an enemy, or as soft as sand when faced with a friend. Other than this, Aramil easily blends into a crowd (of humans) with an average height and build. When on the road, he dons bland colors in shades of grey and green to blend with nature. He has a cloak, with a hood, tunic and breeches. He carries around two rapiers, one enchanted with fire, the other with frost, and a travel pack, with tools for survival, he also carries a stout hunting knife in his boot and a quarterstaff for walking.
Back Story:
Aramil grew up in Stoneridge with his father, Mathew, his mother, Sellena, and his sister Aerin. His parents have since passed away, and his sister still lives in Stoneridge. Aramil left Stoneridge, after becoming alienated from the life there. He witnessed crimes committed here and their almost daily, and he has since decided he could not live with others of his own kind, who have no reguard for people of their own race, and even less than that for others. At 17 he bid his family farewell and began to wander. He would occasionally run out of money, or into trouble, and wind up back in Stoneridge, much to his dislike. This continued for 2 years, but his parents, ever loving always welcomed him home. Aerin however, also adopted Aramil's wayward nature, and left home at 15. She did not come back, before Aramil left for good. Aramil left a month after his sisters departure, and wound up in Telflamme. He fell in love with the life there and vowed to stay. After living of the land for a few months, he found a job, and began to build himself an estate. He started as a hunter, and eventually became a craftsman, working with wood. He was able to live off of this for some time. There he met two people he could never have been without. Lilith Shakaku and Soren Fortis, also residents of Telflame. Soren was a great fighter, and would occasionally pick fights, but none which ever got out of hand. Lilith was also adept a nature magic as was Aramil, and they began to study together, life it seemed, was unable to improve.
But of course, it changed, as life must.
10 years later, when Aramil was 29, a messanger called him, asking him to return to Stoneridge at once. He could not abandon his family, he knew they were good people, evenif there were those in Stoneridge who quite plainly, were not. When he arrived, he saw his mother and father who were quite distraught. It seemed that Aerin ran into some trouble in Moneth, and needed to get out. She managed to courier a message to her parents, but needed Aramil to come and get her. Aramil agreed, and Lilith and Soren insisted on accompanying him. They set off together, and when they arrived in Moneth, set to look for Aerin. They eventually spotted her on the streets, and it appears that life on her own was not as kind to Aerin as it had been to Aramil. She had resorted to theft to survive, unable to keep a job that did not involve prositution. Whats worse is that a gang was hunting her for taking their territory, or simply for sport. In their last encounter, they managed to break Aerin's arm before someone noticed and and ran them off. As they began to leave, they were found by the same gang. They fled after a short encounter in which Aramil struck the leader with Blinding Sickness and then proceeded to beat his nose into his face. Lilith was not impressed, but Aramil did let him live, and the blinding was not permanent. They return Aerin home, and there she stayed with her parents who made enough to support her as well. Her arm never healed properly and finds work difficult, but the ammount her parents left, combined with her wages, and what Aramil can spare gets her by.
4 years after this, Lilith and Aramil got married. Soren attended the wedding as best man. They were a wonderful couple, and rarely fought. The most common arguement resulted from Aramil's old habits, or drinking and the occasional puff of tobacco. Lilith quickly won this battle over him however, and Aramil cleaned up. (When she was looking anyways). Life was easy for Aramil and Lilith, they would often venture into the forest, and parctise their art, communing with nature, and shaping it for themselves. It was in this manner they were able to secure a living, for a time. But as the world moved forward, magic became frowned upon more and more, and so they hid their talents. Aramil once again became a laybourer, and worked hard to support his wife. 2 years after their marrige, they had their first child, a girl, whom they name Airith, a blending of the two names. It was also during this time that Aramil was greated by another blessing. His first animal companion, a black panther lurking in the forest wandered across his path, and sat down infront of him. Aramil sat as well, and after a long chat, the large cat accepted to be companion to Aramil. Out of respect, he named her, Aerin. Lilith had had her animal companion for sometime before this, and was overjoyed to find Aramil finally ahd one as well.
When Aramil was 42, he was at home with the young Airith, now 7 years old. Lilith had just left on a trip with Soren as sort of a guard. She was traveling to Opanka, near the Spore Forest. Lilith had always wanted to visit that area, but Aramil could not leave Telflamme, as their would be no income, so he stayed with the child. 2 days after they left, Aramil recieved a message that Lilith had been found murdered on the end of Telflamme Forest, and Soren had gone missing. Despite Aramil's pleas that Soren was innocent, the Telflamme council ruled that because Soren was the only one who could be at the scene of the crime, he must be guilty, especially due to his timely disappearance. Aramil had little choice but to mourn quietly and take care of his daughter, and Aerin, and Aerin, and there he stayed in Telflamme, until one fateful day 7 years later....
