The group stands opposed to the kobold encountered in the icy plains, still remaining in Goroh's body. The snow isn't too heavy, but it's starting to pick up slightly; and considering their goal, to reach the Felten Tower, it seems a good idea to not take their time.
Gorland grumbles, still in his bear form. "We don't have time for this..."
Mina not really sure what to do decides to wait before acting
Gorland runs and lunges at Goroh, attempting to pin him once again.
Another unfortunate attempt; 'Goroh' ducks back out of the way.
Kobold walks over to Kansu and mutters something in draconic to him
Goroh jumps forward and swings at Kansu again...but the blow is parried by the flash of a greatsword. Soren stands between the two of them, frowning.
<@Soren> "Can someone fill me in on what's happening here?"
Mina looks a little surprised "Uhhh well Kansu and that Kolbold seem to have switched bodies...wait how did you find us so fast?"
<@Soren> "It wasn't really difficult." He shifts his weight, bringing down the greatsword. "You aren't exactly the most subtle people, after all."
<@Soren> "Gorland; can you pin him down at all?"
<+Gorland> "I've been working on that."
Gorland attempts to tackle Goroh down once again.
Indeed it does; with quite a crash Gorland and Goroh go tumbling to the ground.
Gorland's claw digs into Goroh a little; but he still stays on top of him, keeping him down. Kansu is up.
Kansu holds his spellcasting, "You want to show him the mirror now?" He says in draconic.
<+Kobold> <Draconic> "Sure."
Kobold rushes over, showing Goroh the mirror
Goroh goes very still for a moment.
<+Goroh> "Aaaah, much better."
Soren turns and eyes the kobold. "Run."
He doesn't hesitate; tearing off as soon as the word is spoken.
And leaving the cloak behind.
<+Kansu> "Well, that was annoying."
Soren scratches his head. "You're going to have to catch me up later, I guess...what's been taking you so long?"
<+Goroh> "Me. The mirror. And the kobold."
<+Goroh> "Let's go."
Kansu nods and looks at Gorland.
Gorland sighs and tries to pick up the trail again, not exactly hopeful.
Soren crosses his arms, a little annoyed. "I thought you'd be a little farther along by now. Did you all agree to take your time, or what?"
<+Kansu> "Something like that."
Kansu follows Gorland.
Gorland snaps, "Look, I followed Lilith’s directions, alright? Wait until the storm cleared up."
<+Mina> "Common now’s not the time to be fighting is it?"
<@Soren> "Yeesh, touchy polar bear."
Soren shrugs. "M'a bit tired, took a while to catch up with you. Mind giving me a lift?"
Gorland is able to pick the trail back up fairly easily.
<+Gorland> "Hmph. Can't imagine it took you that long if we were going so slow," he lets out as he starts leading the way.
<@Soren> "Yeah, well, you go off to sea and see how long it takes you to catch up."
<+Gorland> "Humph."
The group continues onwards for about an hour, before coming upon a grisly sight. A dogsled sits overturned in the snow, with many chunks of flesh; some dog, and what looks to be a bit of an arm. A few lumps of hair sit on the sled, and everything is covered in a small amount of blueish, purple gunk. The whole scene smells foul.
<+Goroh> "Ugh. What would cause this mess?"
Soren narrows his eyes. "I've seen something like this before, actually."
Soren steps towards the mess, pulling a small vial out of a pocket on his belt. "Try to not touch anything with your bare hands, anyway."
<+Goroh> "Not planning on it."
Kansu blinks, "Really? I'd have remembered this too."
Gorland grimaces at the foul smell, but tries to decipher the various scents.
Mina simply looks away attempting not to throw up from the smell
<@Soren> "I don't believe you were there when I saw it, anyway...I was with Lilith, actually. The thing...whatever it is...is pretty nasty. Got more than a little scraped up."
Soren pockets the little vial, glancing to Mina. "Feeling alright?"
<+Mina> "Y..yeah"
<+Gorland> "Is this important? Or can we move on?"
<+Kansu> "I would like to. This smell isn't doing my stomach favors."
Soren nods, a little distracted. "No sense in staying around. I have what I need, anyway." He draws his cloak a little more tightly around.
<+Gorland> "What exactly do you need it for?" Gorland asked curiously, taking up the trail again.
